The prime objective of the present work is to examine the stochastic aspect of a gone, which is a distinct entity and is regarded as the basic unit of genetic information.
A new stochastic approach to the existence and manifestation of oncogenes is presented using Ramanujan's function. The applications to genetic cancer are also discussed. It is shown that the bronchial carcinoma or oncogene induced cancer is produced if F0 (q)]v0 + [F0 (q)]c0 >u (-q),
where v and C stand for viral and cellular oncogenes. For three types of viral oncogenes (c-erb, c-sis and c-fms). X0 (q)c-erb + X0 (q)c-sis + X0 (q)c-fms = 2F0 (q)-u(-q)
The viral oncogene function, X0 (q)c-fms is associated with the CSE-1 receptor and is responsible for the development of mononuclear phagocyte cells in hemopoiesis. The epidermal cell growth is promoted by the EGF receptor related to the oncogene function X0 (q)c-erb. PDGBFchain connected wih the oncogene function, X0 (q)c-sis, helps in the growth of the fibroblast.
It is found that Ramanujan's mock theta functions have a very important role to play in the quantitative estimatin of the impact of oncogenes.
